dr. TRAVIS LANEY
SENIOR PASTOR
Pastor Travis is a 3rd generation Floridian. Born in Orlando, he grew up in Titusville until he went to college. He is a graduate of The Florida State University and has both a M.Div. and Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Travis and his family moved to Neptune Beach from Mililani, Hawaii where he was most recently serving. Since 2000, he has pastored churches in Carrollton, Kentucky, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and on Oahu, Hawaii. While in South Florida, he also served as an Adjunct Professor for many years both at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach and The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary’s Extension Center in Miami. He is married to his wife, Allison, and together they have four children.

Shelly Brown
Minister TO preschool & children
Shelly graduated from Florida College of Medical and Dental and also studied accounting at Jacksonville University. She worked in the dental field for many years and worked on staff at First Baptist Jacksonville for 19 years. In 2008, while on a mission trip to Spain, God called Shelly to take a step into a broader ministry. Later in 2008, she joined the staff of Neptune Baptist Church. She is married to her husband, Mike, and together they have three children.

minister of evangelism & education
After getting a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Florida, Tanya attended Southwestern Theological Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity degree. She served on staff a few summers for Centrifuge and was a Lifeway Ministry Multiplier. She also served in the area of students on several church staff before coming to Neptune Baptist. She continues to write for Lifeway Christian Resources and enjoys speaking to women’s groups. She started at NBC in 2000 as the Minister to Students before becoming the Minister of Education and Evangelism. She is married to her husband, Ryan, and together they have have three children.

alan walker
minister of music & worship
Alan has been in full time Music Ministry since 1998. Before that, he grew up on the international mission field in Africa and the Caribbean as the son of missionary church planters, Fred and Betty Walker. He received a B.A. in Communications from Jacksonville University and worked for seven years as a video producer for the Florida Baptist Convention. He was ordained into the ministry at San Jose Baptist Church in 2000 and served as Minister of Music & Worship there until joining the staff at Neptune Baptist Church in 2004. He is married to his wife, Amy, and together they have a two children.
